November 23 through January 1. Wildlights at Columbus Zoo! Immerse yourself in a spectacular light display from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Over 3 million LED lights! See live reindeer, Santa, and more. Admission cost varies, see Columbus Zoo website for details. Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

November 23 through January 2. The Columbus Commons Holiday Lights features over 300,000 dazzling holiday lights. Stroll through the park, then cross High Street and browse vintage displays in the Lazarus Building. Holiday lights shown from dusk to 11 p.m.

November 24. Everyone who enters the Columbus Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day gets a free pumpkin pie from Whole Foods! Choose either the 5-mile course, or the 2-mile Waterman Farm route at OSU. There’s also a “Tot Trot” 100-yard dash for kids!

November 25. Family Friday Night at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) means discounted admission, and extended hours until 9:00 p.m.!

November 26. Small Business Saturday at Columbus Idea Foundry offers an artisan market, tours, snacks, apple cider and the OSU/Michigan game on TV.

November 27. Olde Worthington Holiday Open House features live entertainment, carriage rides, refreshments, beautiful shops and eateries, and a visit from Santa! 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Christmas tree lighting on the Village Green follows at 5:30 p.m.

December 2. See the Grand Illumination of Downtown Columbus! Thousands of lights will transform the Scioto Mile into a winter wonderland on December 2 in Bicentennial Park. Activities from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tree lighting ceremony takes place at 6:00 p.m.

December 2 through 4. The Columbus Symphony and Chorus Holiday Pops. Musicians, singers and dancers present a spirited celebration of cherished holiday songs. Guest star: Santa Claus! Evening and matinee performances. Ticket prices vary, see website for details.

December 3. Grove City Christmas Celebration, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., in the historic Town Center. Enjoy shopping specials, visits with Santa, live entertainment, a parade and more. Visit the Mistletoe Market for one-of-a-kind gifts!

December 4. Experience holiday tradition in German Village! Stroll historic streets amid glittering lights and festive carolers. Shops and restaurants will be open late, offering holiday treats, discounts and promotions. Ride in a horse-drawn carriage and enjoy live holiday music.

December 9 & 10, 16 & 17, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. December 11 & 18, noon to 5:00 p.m. Dickens of a Christmas. Enjoy the splendor of a Victorian-era Christmas at the historic Ohio Village. See 19th-century decorations, crafts, cooking decorations and fashions inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic tales. Adult admission $12, children $9. Dress for the weather!

December 31. First Night Columbus! A spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration in downtown Columbus with fireworks, live entertainment and fun for all ages! The fireworks will be set off from Genoa Park this year, with prime viewing from Washington Blvd. See website for full details and admission fees.
