Spring is in full bloom in Metro Columbus, and summer isn’t far behind! Now is a great time to get out and appreciate all that our communities have to offer. There is plenty to do during the months of May and June, and we’ve listed a sampling of events.

Columbus Commons – Downtown Columbus. Free events, concerts and family fun take place every week, all through the spring and summer! See the event calendar for the full list of activities. Some special events require admission fees.
Blooms & Butterflies – Franklin Park Conservatory, Columbus. Butterflies released daily during educational presentations at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. See hundreds of butterflies amid lush blooms in the Pacific Island Water Garden. Exhibit runs through September 18, 2016.
Asian Festival – Franklin Park, Columbus. May 28-29. This free festival is a cultural celebration of food, exhibits, games, entertainment and more. Explore the marketplace for unique gifts and curiosities, and take in a global experience right here in Columbus!
Ice Cream Festival – Utica. Memorial Day weekend, May 28-30. Old-fashioned family fun includes delicious ice cream, food vendors, arts and crafts, live entertainment, pony rides and contests for the kids. Enjoy the car show, motorcycle show, antique farm machinery and more!
Memorial Day Parade – Worthington. May 30. Parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. Route begins at East. Dublin-Granville Road and proceeds south on High Street to Cemetery Drive. Memorial ceremony follows at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Scioto Summer Concert Series – Dublin. Sunday nights, June 5-August 15, Scioto Park amphitheater. Enjoy a variety of music during these free Sunday night concerts! Concerts begin at 7 p.m. and conclude at approximately 8:30 p.m. Bring your own blanket or lawn chairs. Food and refreshments available for purchase.
Columbus Arts Festival – Columbus Riverfront. June 10-12. This popular Columbus event features talented artists from around the country and the world. Enjoy great food, and six stages of live music and entertainment. Fun and activities for all ages!
Creekside Blues and Jazz Festival – Gahanna. June 17-90. Experience the best blues and jazz in Ohio (or practically anywhere else!) Enjoy over 90 hours of live music, and savor a variety of tempting food including bbq, Cajun, Jamaican and classic favorites. This is a complete shindig with adult beverages, family activities and amusement rides. Come for the music, stay for the weekend!
