January through May 8. LEGO® Travel Adventure at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI): This hands-on exhibit encourages young adventurers to choose a global destination, and build a LEGO® vehicle to get there. Learn about travel inventions of the past, and see impressive LEGO® models built by professionals.

January 9-10. The Worthington Historical Society Antiques Show features high-quality antiques and collectibles, offered by some of the foremost antique dealers in the Midwest and Northeast. Whether you are just beginning to appreciate antiques, or you are a seasoned collector, this show offers unique items for virtually every interest. No reproductions here!

January 9 through March 6. Franklin Park Conservatory’s “Orchids,” exhibit will delight the senses with hundreds of blooms in the Dorothy M. Davis show house and indoor gardens. There is also an immersive, artistic exhibit and a themed children’s play area. Get an early taste of spring!

January 18. Martin Luther King Jr. Day at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Free admission to all visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.! One catch: a parking fee of $8.00 applies. Indoor and outdoor exhibits will be open; dress for the weather! Indoor attractions include the popular Discovery Reef and Manatee Coast.

January 18-23. Restaurant Week Columbus features specially-priced offerings from some of the best restaurants in Metro Columbus. Price levels vary by participating restaurants; 3-course meals begin at $15 and go up to $35. Over 100 restaurants are participating, so plan ahead! Reservations may be required at some locations; see the Restaurant Week Columbus website for details!

January 29-30. Farm Toy & NASCAR Collectibles Show at the Ohio Expo Center. Browse one of the Midwest’s largest vintage toy and collectibles shows! Find old and new toys and collectibles, rarities and novelties. Items include die-cast cars and trucks, coin banks, vintage signs, dolls and doll clothing, Barbies, Beanie Babies and more! Fun for nostalgia buffs, kids at heart, and the serious collector.
