2. Ask the home seller for copies of the most recent utility bills. Depending on the size of your household, and your personal usage, your amounts may vary – but this gives you a start.
3. Don’t be shy about asking questions. For example, if the seller lists recent repairs or upgrades, you can ask who made those upgrades, and ask for receipts to show the cost of materials and/or labor.
