It is home to about 35,000 residents, and is known as the “Birthplace of the Tomato.” Reynoldsburg resident Alexander W. Livingston, a prominent horticulturalist, is credited with developing the seed varieties that would become the standard for domestic tomato production.

Reynoldsburg celebrates its agricultural heritage during the annual Tomato Festival, a lively community event held during August. The City of Reynoldsburg also features holiday events and activities throughout the year.

Reynoldsburg has an active Scottish American Society, which celebrates the city’s Scottish heritage during the annual Reynoldsburg Tartan Day. If motorsports are more your speed, the National Trail Raceway delivers high-octane excitement on a NHRA Championship drag racing track. This track is the site of the NHRA National Speed Record of 336.15 miles per hour, set by Tony Schumacher in 2005. The National Trail Raceway is located just east of Reynoldsburg.

Reynoldsburg has a variety of retail stores and restaurants. Taylor Square offers contemporary shopping and national brands. For antique hunters and those seeking handmade gifts, the Olde Town area features unique offerings in one-of-a-kind boutiques.

Outdoor recreation in Reynoldsburg includes Blacklick Woods, a spacious park featuring a four-mile walking and biking trail, open play areas, a nature center and a 72- par golf course. The nearby Pine Quarry Park includes extensive pine woodlands and scenic walking paths.

Outdoor athletic fields are found at Kennedy Park, which features four lighted tennis courts, ten baseball diamonds, several playgrounds, a skate park and a bicycle path.  Nearby Huber Park offers footballs fields, soccer fields and a walking path alongside Blacklick Creek.

Reynoldsburg city schools are well-regarded. The Reynoldsburg School District includes six elementary schools, two middle schools, two junior high schools and two high schools. The school system is ranked as “Excellent with Distinction” by the State of Ohio, successfully meeting or exceeding academic standards.

Homes in Reynoldsburg are affordable, with some single-family homes available for less than $200,000. Well-appointed luxury homes can be found under one million. New construction is also available, providing Central Ohio home buyers with plenty of choices.
